EZ Digital Timer Instructions

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SETTING THE CLOCK

1) Connecting the Unit

  • Connect the unit to a 6V or 12V battery and attach the feeder motor.
  • Check the fuse in the fuse holder to ensure proper function.
  • The battery type and current charge level will be displayed on the screen.

2) Setting the Clock

  • Press the P button (or Program button) once from "READY" mode to enter "CLOCK" mode - where you will set your system's current time.
  • Press Program again to begin setting the time.
    • TIP: As a rule of thumb though this process - Use the P button to progress to the next step and the + and - buttons to adjust the step you are currently on
  • Use the + or - buttons to set:
    • Day of the week → Press Program to confirm.
(NOTE: Do not miss your day of the week! They will be displayed at the bottom edge of your screen)
    • Hour → Press Program to confirm.
    • Minutes → Press Program to confirm.
  • Once the time is set, wait 10 seconds for the system to return to "READY" mode automatically.

3) Setting Feed Time, Run Time & RPM

  • Press the + button from "READY" mode until you see FEED 1 to enter the Feeding Setup (this is the first of 8 possible feed times, come back to this part later and press + to get to FEED 2 and beyond to set more feed times!)
  • Press P(Program) to enter feed time settings.
  • Go back to the instructions above [setting the clock] to set your feed time or select "OFF" to disable. But read the important step right below before doing so!
    • IMPORTANT STEP: When setting your days of the week - to ensure your feeder goes off daily, simply progress through the days of the week by pressing UP(^) until you get past Sunday - you will then see all of the days of the week light up on your screen. (if you progress past this point, you can utilize other day combos such as weekends only)
  • Press Program again and use the + or - buttons to set the feed duration (1 to 30 seconds per feed cycle).
  • Press Program again and use the + or - buttons to set the motor speed (RPM).
  • After completing the setup, wait 10 seconds to return to "READY" mode automatically.

4) Testing the Unit

  • To perform a test cycle, press and release the TEST button.
  • The feeder will activate after a 10-second delay, allowing you to step back.
    • TIP: Protect your eyes from flying corn!
  • The test will run for the same duration as the first scheduled feed time.

5) Checking Battery Charge

  • The battery charge level is displayed on the 5-bar battery icon on the screen.
  • This indicator provides a real-time status of your battery’s charge level.
