How One Hunter Changed the Game with SpinTech

From an idea in the field to revolutionizing wildlife feeding, SpinTech’s patented technology was built to solve real-world problems.

Read how our founder’s vision led to an innovation that’s helping land managers, hunters, and ranchers take control of their feeding systems.

Hunting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad was the one who taught me, and from the very beginning, he made sure I understood that hunting wasn’t just about pulling the trigger—it was about respect for the land, the animals, and the responsibility that comes with being a hunter. He always said, “Hunt smart, not just hard.” That lesson stuck with me, not just in the field but in everything I’ve done, especially in building SpinTech.

Back in the early days of SpinTech, we hit the road, hauling our gear to hunting shows and putting our patented technology to the test in front of real hunters. I’ll never forget the look on their faces when they saw it in action—our spin plate locking and sealing tight, shutting out varmints and weather like nothing else on the market. That moment of realization, when they knew this was a game-changer, made all the hard work worth it.

The demand was immediate. Hunters knew they needed a feeder that could take a beating and keep performing. SpinTech isn’t just another feeder; it’s the one built to last, designed by hunters who actually know what it takes to get the job done. Others try, but nothing performs like a SpinTech.

Of all the hunts I’ve been on, one stands out the most. It was a brutally cold morning, the kind that cuts right through you. I had been tracking a mature South Texas buck for days, knowing he was one of the smartest, most elusive deer I’d ever come across. After hours of patience, I finally got the shot. It wasn’t just about the harvest—it was about the process, the strategy, and the deep respect I had for that animal. That hunt reinforced why I do what I do.

Hunting has shaped the way I approach business and problem-solving. Out here, things don’t always go as planned. You learn to adapt, to think ahead, and to never underestimate the importance of preparation. That same mindset drove the creation of SpinTech. I saw a problem with feeders—wasted feed, broken parts, varmints taking over—and instead of just dealing with it, I built something better.

If I could give one piece of advice to the next generation of hunters, it would be this: take the time to learn the land, respect the animals, and understand that hunting isn’t just about the end result—it’s about the experience. Hunting teaches patience, discipline, and problem-solving, all things that will serve you well, no matter what you do in life.

And before every hunt, I have a simple ritual. I take a deep breath, appreciate the moment, and remind myself why I’m out there. Hunting isn’t just a sport—it’s a way of life, and it’s something I’m proud to be a part of.

That same passion for the hunt is what drives SpinTech. We built this feeder because we knew it was needed. We built it to last. And just like in the field, we don’t cut corners, we don’t take shortcuts, and we don’t settle for second best. That’s the SpinTech way.
